Zell Am See is in the state of Salzburg & another well-known tourist destination, famous for its mountains and lakes. Once governed by French troops back in the early 19th century, Zell Am See hosted several international skiing competitions. Off the ski slopes, one of its most famous attractions is the Romanesque St. Hippolyte's Church, with an elevated walkway that dates back to the early 16th century.

By Air - Salzburg Airport also known as WA Mozart is easy to reach for people who wish to visit Zell Am See. Salzburg Airport is roughly 80 kms away. A shuttle, taxi, small plane or train will take tourists straight to Zell am See.
By Train - The Zell am See train station is located in the centre of the city. Tourists can use OBB trains as they provide several direct connections between Salzburg and Zell Am See.
By Road - Zell am See is well connected to the local traffic network. Travelling by car can be the best experience as the journey would be a combination of driving with the breathtaking Alpine panorama. Zell am See is a 2.5 hrs drive away from Munich via motorway A-9 and 1.5 hrs drives away from Salzburg via A-12 Inntalautobahn motorway.

Cruise is one of the best ways to enjoy the beauty of Zeller See Lake sitting on one of the town’s comfortable ships. Tourists can explore all the nooks and crannies of the town simply by strolling along the paved path that stretches around the entire Zell Am See Lake.
